Michi - timber industry in sabah and sarawak contribute huge income for government and the state and the local people...if talk about environment friendly, malaysia not very friendly compare to develop country but better than indo...at kalimantan, the people burn the most forest just for palm oil plantation...
beside common hard wood, bamboo, which is fast grow and has variety of patterns, as well as easily being shaped, will be an option for near future
